Enjoy!
#1
◱ A big guy that likes to visit us.
#2
◱ Does he want to play in the tire swing?
#3
◱ He saw the gate was open and came into the picnic area.
#4
◱ Wedding Reception Coltons
#5
◱ What a happy group
#6
◱ Look at all the grins.
#7
◱ Is there kissing? (Yuck)
#8
◱ Don and Lois planted the vase full of children's flowers from the wedding where each flower represented one of the children.
#9
◱ Super glue was requested; great for mending paper cuts etc. We now have a bunch of single-use tubes from the Dollar store.
#10
◱ We played a game of Settlers of Catan. Every time a nine rolled, Kili got 9-12 cards. Lois got zero and Isaac got one. Our numbers weren't rolling, but nines were. He was kili-ing us.
#11
◱ In the end Kili got three more points than Isaac. It was a fun game.
#12
◱ I took a few pictures of the gladiolas before they all were done blooming.
#13
◱ there were so many colors this year.
#14
◱ they came at a perfect time for the wedding.
#15
◱ loss is eager to see them next year.
#16
◱ What week will they bloom next year?
#17
◱ Will they be in bloom for a reunion?
#18
◱ my favorite colors were blooming during the wedding but are gone now.
#19
◱ Lots had big plans for more bulbs.
#20
◱ our first crop of Juliet Cherry tomatoes bigger than one or two.
#21
◱ A big Apple tree branch broke.
#22
◱ Lois thinks the branch would have broken eventually based on the lines.
#23
◱ We are sure the other half will break also.
#24
◱ Then about held off the tree will be gone.
#25
◱ The tree is obviously not as strong as we thought.
#26
◱ Lois was going to graft a Gloria Mundi on it.
#27
◱ here's are two apples from the broken tree.
#28
◱ About 1/3 if the tree is gone.
#29
◱ It is hard to tell in a picture, just how much is gone.
#30
◱ Two barrel nesting boxes beside the red rolling nesting box.
#31
◱ Lois is moving the barrel nesting boxes.
#32
◱ Dominique is trying out the new barrel nesting box places.
#33
◱ Dominique wanted hugs.
#34
◱ Lois installed another barrel in the West end.
#35
◱ The East end before the coop.
#36
◱ Checkers tried out another placement of a barrel nesting box.
#37
◱ Amelia slips through the gate.
#38
◱ Checkers likes to go in and out the fence into the picnic area. Some day she will be too big to do that.
#39
◱ Lois is installing a 2x4 for the bottom of the new chick corral.
#40
◱ We don't want the chicks escaping. (They did anyway.)
#41
◱ It was awkward working at the bottom.
#42
◱ Don selected boards to use. Somehow he found an egg that had been laid and stepped on it.
#43
◱ Lois installing blocks for the front board to be installed against.
#44
◱ Finished chick corral. They can't leave until they can fly over the front edge. (Oops, the upper left corner is just barely big enough to squeeze through, as we found out later.)
#45
◱ The West end.
#46
◱ Water, Food, Heat. What more could a chick want? So, off to the store to buy more chicks!!
#47
◱ Welcome new baby chicks! Enjoy your water!
#48
◱ Escapees! That was fast.
#49
◱ New quarter-inch "microfencing" to keep the chicks out of the blackberries.
#50
◱ We hope the fencing will protect them but they can go through a tiny space.
#51
◱ Empty egg shell, probably had a chick in it.
#52
◱ Poly, aka Broody, aka Mrs Cluck, has a chick under her.
#53
◱ Another empty egg shell
#54
◱ The chick comes out to say hello.
#55
◱ Two chicks with Mrs Cluck. (Cluck is the noise she makes to call them. That's the only time we hear it.)
#56
◱ Ducks wanna be loved too!
#57
◱ Mower meets hose. Hose loses. Mower has to take a time-out.
#58
◱ The white night in shining armor drives off after the rescue. He went and battled with blackberry vines.
#59
◱ And he brought back a blackberry.
#60
◱ The Highway End of Rosewold Lane. Don did some mowing to push back the encroaching blackberries.
#61
◱ Maybe now the cars won't get scraped by the vines.
#62
◱ Don even mowed part to the neighbors horses.
#63
◱ yay Don, it's good for a couple of weeks. 🤣
#64
◱ Swifts or swallows were swooping all over as Lois mowed the playfield. It was fun to watch them catching bugs.
