Week of April 12 through April 18, 2020

#1 ◱ the second contest it's over and I came in second and got $75. The first time, I got first and the prize was higher than this time. 😁 It was through the holidays which was really hard.

#2 ◱ I was a little it a lot freaked when I picked up a landscaping concrete block and this hissed at me. I sent the picture to the Oregon wildlife fish and game and they confirmed my belief that it was a gopher snake. They like to look and act like rattlesnakes though. 🙄

#3 ◱ The old rosewold Apple tree is full of blooms. I do not know what kind of the it is.

#4 ◱ yellow Icelandic poppies

#5 ◱ Can you find the ducks? They were quacking and that helped.

#6 ◱ When I mowed Middle Earth there were all these little flowers. So I left a patch of them to enjoy.

#7 ◱ The strawberries are blooming in The Waffle.

#8 ◱ I do not know this one's name, but I like it.

#9 ◱ The gladiolas are coming up.

#10 ◱ The lilacs are blooming and Don says the smell is really strong when you open the front door.

#21 ◱ last year's green onions are starting to bloom and go to seed.

#22 ◱ We had helpers today cut off the flowers on the onions. Yay! They needed that.

#23 ◱ Asparagus is coming up quite a bit this week.

#24 ◱ The workers were so nice to come and pull weeks for me today. They are an amazing family.

#25 ◱ The chickens snuck some more eggs under the house so I made it less inviting again.

#26 ◱ Lois is crawling out from under the house while holding eggs.

#30 ◱ The hens do not believe in staying inside the fence or social distancing.

#31 ◱ I still love our feeder.

#32 ◱ The chickens get tired of waiting for Dominique to move, and just seem to drop them every where.

#33 ◱ I think a hen must have sat on top of Dominique to lay an egg. I don't think that worked out too well.

#34 ◱ I love the looks of Lacie's welsummer eggs.

#36 ◱ Meet our new Roo. I think his name is probably Waldo.

#37 ◱ Duck eggs after the rockers are taken out.

#39 ◱ we are trying to figure out the temperature inside the incubator. We should have done that four weeks ago.

#40 ◱ we have the incubators numbers and two other thermometers numbers.

#41 ◱ Lois snuck out one night to see where the ducks were hanging out. Lots was surprised to find them in the pond.

#42 ◱ but Lois did finally find out where the ducks were hiding their eggs.

#43 ◱ So now we are up to ten eggs in the pile.

#44 ◱ Don and Lois went on a trip to Walmart. Lois felt she should wear a face mask. Don did not.

#45 ◱ Don ordered a pulse oximeter and received these small gloves. It reeks of scam. You get a tracking number from a third-party seller on Walmart.com, Walmart collects your money and pays them, and then fake merchandise shows up. We hope the refund happens okay.

#46 ◱ Equate brand Pulse Oximeter bought at Walmart. We like it just fine.

#47 ◱ Theoretically it works on toes too. It's a bit harder to reach. And the blood oxygen level is lower than for the finger. (Somebody should wash that foot.)
