2016-05-22 Week at Rosewold

#1 ◱ First artichoke of 2016.

#3 ◱ Joseph digging holes for the new roses.

#5 ◱ Joseph brought out some rose cuttings and bushes from his home.

#6 ◱ So we planted more rose sticks. We'll see if they grow and live.

#7 ◱ Lois was working in the garden and a hummingbird flew in front of her face. So she got her cell phone out of her pocket and took some pictures.

#8 ◱ They sure move fast, but it was liking sitting on the grape fence also.

#10 ◱ It was fun watching it sip from the red hot poker plant.

#11 ◱ Although blurry, I loved this shot since it was just hanging there staring at me.

#12 ◱ This is a far away shot, but it is a heron flying over Rosewold.

#13 ◱ There are usually turkey buzzards flying overhead.

#14 ◱ We worked in the picnic area and then took a break by eating so-mores. Meanwhile, Joseph was burning the edge of the bricks with a flame torch. We decided that wasn't the best way to trim the grasses. :-)

#21 ◱ We were standing in the picnic area and this car drove by and Lois and Don thought it was Akiko, but it didn't look like Akiko driving. So Lois asked Joseph who that was and he said something about someone he works with or something. I assumed the friends would park and walk to the picnic area. Next thing we knew, Daniel, Ann, Eva, Adele, and Calvin walked into the picnic area. :-)

#22 ◱ We gave them tours of Rosewold and it's buildings. Then we went inside to start dinner.

#23 ◱ It was a wonderful surprise. Our kids are sure full of surprises. :-) Thank you Daniel and Ann for coming.
