2016-05-15. Week at Rosewold

#1 ◱ Don drills holes in tool handles so we can hang them on the wall.

#2 ◱ Don adds long screws at the top of the wall for hanging tools.

#3 ◱ The tool wall is complete. A place for everything and everything in its place. The tool wall occupies the southeast corner of the Red Shed.

#4 ◱ This is the newly improved network closet. Top left is the electrical outlet. Next is the switch. Finally the patch panel. Bottom left is the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and then the Swann DVR that powers our camera system. The inspector said that the closet had to have sheetrock. It was hard to sheet rock.

#5 ◱ Lois and Kekoa put the finishing touches on the new Club House. Pillows and futons on top of grass-like carpet, on top of plywood, on top of gravel that has been raked smooth. The club house occupies the southwest corner of the Red Shed.

#6 ◱ Kekoa tests the chair and mini-desk in the new Club House which you can put your laptop on.

#7 ◱ Lois and Kekoa get into the selfie action in the Club House.

#8 ◱ Kekoa experiments with the Stud Finder.

#9 ◱ Kekoa shows his strength by carrying weights around his wrists.

#10 ◱ Kekoa is becoming an expert at putting together picture puzzles. This the first time he put this one together by himself.

#11 ◱ Lois's maroon Gladiolus appeared. Lois thought it had died, so she is happy.

#12 ◱ Black Grape in the cage, surrounded by Red Hot Poker outside the cage.

#13 ◱ Joseph runs Goliath, our backhoe, carrying tree rounds to where they will be used. The picnic area (foreground) is looking better each day.

#14 ◱ Lawn mowing brigade is working on the back yard (picnic area).

#15 ◱ Kili pushes the electric lawn mower. Sometimes it wouldn't move and Grandma would come over and get it to move again.

#16 ◱ Mikey develops his samurai skills with a pretty serious knife. The blackberries are a tough foe, though.

#17 ◱ Kili pushes the gas-powered lawn mower. It is easier to push than the electric one.

#18 ◱ Alex pushes the electric mower. Kili pushes the gas mower.

#19 ◱ Mikey spreads the potting soil around the tree. Beyond is the brown shed which we are now starting to call the Rabbit Hutch because it has rabbits living under it.

#20 ◱ Rakes are smoothing out the potting soil. Joseph is loading tree rounds into Goliath's bucket.

#21 ◱ Mikey and Alex rake the soil. Joseph loads the rounds.

#22 ◱ Squirrel at Rosewold. Busy collecting whatever.

#23 ◱ First Quail that Lois has seen this year at Rosewold.
