#1 ◱ We needed to collapse the oldest septic system and so Joseph smashed it with Goliath the backhoe. It wasn't easy to do even with Goliath. Then he filled it with dirt.
#2 ◱ Royal Flush brought their excavator to dig some test holes where the new septic system is planned to go.
#3 ◱ Here is Don with Jeff Bowers, the owner of Royal Flush, sitting in his excavator.
#4 ◱ The excavator heads out into the back part of the property, ready to dig a few holes.
#5 ◱ Here is one of the holes that was dug. Jeff says the soil is perfect for what we are going to do.
#6 ◱ Here is another view of the test hole he dug.
#7 ◱ Joseph discovered that hole too. Unintentionally.
#9 ◱ Success. Goliath the backhoe is out of the hole, and Joseph is digging dirt out that caved in.
#10 ◱ We measured the back yard (aka Picnic Area) to see where we want to set up the tent for the wedding reception. The tent is 30 ft by 10 ft.
#11 ◱ Lois packaged up two sandwich bags of rhubarb this week and froze it. I guess at this price we did pretty well. :-)
#12 ◱ Apparently our bathtub leaks. Or maybe when it is filling with water it leaks. But in any case, we are getting water on the floor when someone takes a bath. Not good.
#13 ◱ Here is a hole I made in the duct work below the bathroom. Water was collecting in the duct. The duct was not being used for heating any more, so I poked a hole in the lowest spot so the water could escape.
#14 ◱ Isaac is assisting Don in cutting the handrail for the front steps.
