Mar 23-24: Painting the Containers

#1 ◱ This is the start of the painting project. Lois bought a gallon of light green paint. She is working with a paint brush.

#2 ◱ Here she is, up on her ladder.

#3 ◱ She looks happy. I think she is faking it.

#4 ◱ Quit taking photos, she says. Enough already.

#5 ◱ Here she is almost done for the day. She got quite a bit done.

#6 ◱ Here is another view. But the paint looks like it is a shade lighter than what she ordered.

#7 ◱ Day 2. Don gets into the act, testing the new sprayer on his container. You can see a bit of spray on Lois's container too. We are just starting to figure out how to use this new sprayer.

#8 ◱ Here he is going over the lettering that is stuck on the side. The paint seems to be covering it up nicely.

#10 ◱ Much later, Lois is putting the finishing touches on her container.

#13 ◱ Here is Don's masterpiece. The south side is pretty much done. The corner still needs paint, and the whole bottom rail.

#14 ◱ Here is Lois's masterpiece. She finished all but a small bit of the south side plus one of the doors.

#15 ◱ Here is the sprayer we used today. It is a $50 model and worked pretty well after we got the paint thinned down enough to go through the nozzle.

#18 ◱ Here is Don's doors. Not done painting, but the paint ran out. We need another gallon, I guess. And what we did paint covered really well. All that dark green just sort of vanishes under the new very light green paint.
